Mitchell Communications Corp.,(MCC) was the project technology consultant for cable and wire, video cameras and a nurse call system for the Gouverneur Healthcare Systems modernization project. Gouverneur is a skilled nursing hospital with over 250 beds. The scope of work includes a needs assessment, design development, construction documents and construction administration. The overall square footage for the renovations was 267,000 square feet, plus a 90,000 square feet new hospital building entail 14 floors. MCC is responsible for designing the data center infrastructure, designing a structured cabling system and fiber backbone, card access system, video surveillance system, GE wander management system and Roland-Borg Responder 4000 nurse call system. The hospital had 18 LCD nurse stations, 12 Head End Equipment Cabinets, 455 Pull Cord Stations, 295 Single Call Stations, 12 network interface modules and 81 duty stations.
